Police have a 21-year-old man in custody after two kidnapping incidents in east Wichita.

Wichita police officer Chad Ditch said a teenage girl was abducted Wednesday afternoon in the 6600 block of East Boston.  The girl was taken into a car and a man tried to sexually assault her.  The girl was released a short time later and she reported the incident to a family member.

Just before 9 a.m. Thursday, a young boy and girl left their home on South Drury on their way to Clark Elementary School.   They were kidnapped and taken into a car by a man, and the boy was dropped off a short time later.  The girl was later found safe in the area.

Ditch said officers saw a suspect vehicle near Harry and Woodlawn and they arrested the suspect in the 6600 block of East Boston.    He said the two incidents are still under investigation
