UPDATE:  Evergy reports scattered outages across Reno, Harvey and Sedgwick counties.   Around 50 customers were still without power in Wichita as of mid-afternoon Thursday. The large outages in Valley Center, and near Lincoln and Washington appear to have been resolved.


High winds has caused scattered power outages across the Wichita area Thursday morning.

As of 10 a.m., Evergy reported about 6,000 customers without power in Sedgwick County. Larger outages are reported in the area of Lincoln and Woodlawn, in Valley Center. There are dozens of smaller outages scattered across the area.  Use the link below to view Evergy’s live outage map.
