Two men charged in fatal shooting in Wichita’s Old Town

Charges have been filed against two Wichita men for a fatal shooting that happened in the city’s Old Town district.

Police heard several gunshots early Sunday, August 14th and then found 22-year-old Deandre Greenley in the 100 block of North Washington.  He had been shot several times and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police got information from witnesses on the suspect vehicle, and they used a license plate reading system to track it.  Two suspects were later arrested in different areas of the city.

A charge of first degree murder has been filed against 21-year-old Christopher Dyas of Wichita.  His bond was set at $500,000 and his next court appearance will be on September 12th.   24-year-old Saquorea Sweeney of Wichita was charged with obstructing apprehension or prosecution.  His bond was set at $500,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for August 29th.

No information has been released on a motive for the shooting.
