An hours long standoff between Wichita Police and a 28 year old man wanted for murder in Liberal ended without incident Friday.
The Liberal Police Department said Ricardo Viveros-Magana was wanted for first-degree murder in the shooting death of a 30 year old man on Thursday. Magana then fled the scene.
Officials with the Wichita Police Department said they received a tip around 6:30 p.m. Friday evening that Magana was in a home the 2600 block of East Grail.
Officers on the scene deployed a K-9 into the home after several hours of negotiation and Magana came out. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
Magana will then be taken to the Sedgwick County jail where he will await transfer by the Liberal Police Department.
One other person was reportedly in the home at the time of the incident but managed to make it out safely.
