The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office released the name of a woman killed in a crash that happened Monday evening in the 53rd St. South and West St.
Officials said that around 7:49 p.m., a 2003 Buick Regal traveling southbound on West Street left the roadway and struck a tree before catching fire east of West Street in the 5300 block south.
69-year-old Donna O’Reilly of Wichita was a passenger in the vehicle. She died at the scene.
O’Reilly’s 73 year old husband was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
