On Thursday, the Kansas House passed a sports betting bill. The measure passed by a margin of 73-49. It now goes to the Senate.
This version of the proposal allows most of the revenue from sports betting to go toward attracting a professional sports team to the state.
This after ongoing discussions trying to nudge the Kansas City Chiefs slightly to the west from the Missouri side to the Kansas side.
The Kansas Senate is expected to take up the bill Thursday night.
