Wichita police said a Andover man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car at an east side intersection late Monday afternoon.
Police said 28-year-old Hunter Lane was traveling east on Central when his bike collided with an SUV making a left turn at Greenwich Road. The crash was reported around 4:30 p.m.
The driver of the SUV, a 58-year-old woman, was treated for minor injuries.
Police said speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, but the investigation is ongoing.
This is the 8th fatality accident in Wichita and the 9th traffic death for 2022.
