Wichita Festivals, Inc. is launching a search for a new CEO/President as the organization prepares for the 50th Anniversary of Wichita Riverfest, which is scheduled for June 3rd through 11th, 2022.
The organization decided that it is necessary to rebuild and reorganize its staff.
Wichita Festivals operates Riverfest in addition to Autumn and Art, and the last two years through the pandemic have proved difficult for the organization. The cancellation and modification of WFI’s two signature events impacted revenue opportunities, causing significant income loss. This led to employee furloughs and the elimination of multiple staff positions.
The WFI Board of Directors said that are now ready to begin the rebuilding process to hire a new CEO/President who will be charged with creating and reorganizing staff with the skills necessary to meet the future needs of the organizations signature events.
