The Wichita Police Department ran a prostitution sting along north Broadway, leading to 16 arrests on Thursday.
Over the past four years, 22 similar operations have been conducted, resulting in a total of 201 arrests, for various sex-trafficking charges. Police have been working with home and business owners along sections of north and south Broadway, where frequent issues have occurred in the past. Thanks to these efforts, crime rates in the area have been improving.
