Ark City Elementary School Moving to Remote Learning Due to Rising COVID Cases

Adams Elementary School in Arkansas City announced that students will be moving to remote learning beginning Friday, Nov. 12th, and continuing through Friday, Nov. 19th.

The school said via Facebook that the number of COVID-19 cases and associated close contacts has been rising within the district. At present, Adams Elementary itself has 16 active cases among students and 5 among staff members. These numbers place the school in the “Red Zone,” indicating that the number of COVID-impacted people surpasses the masking threshold, and masks are now required in that building.

Throughout USD 470, there are a total of 18 active cases among staff and 45 active cases among student.

You can view the district’s COVID-dashboard here.
