Everyone attending, visiting, or working at Wichita State is now required to wear masks at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
WSU will require all employees to be vaccinated against COVID by December 8, though religious and medical exemptions can be made. People working remotely will still be required to get the shot.
In a statement, President Rick Muma says these changes are being made to comply with an executive order regarding federal contractors, which is being applied to the entire WSU workforce.
The mask requirement took effect October 25, and applies to all indoor setting, and outdoor setting where social distancing cannot be maintained. You can read the full statement from President Muma, and find an FAQ section by following the link below.
