A 25-year-old man is in jail in connection to a drive-by shooting that hurt an 11-year-old Wichita girl.
The girl was hit while in bed on October 12th. She’s been hospitalized but is expected to survive. A Gofundme has been created to help cover medical costs.
Police have said this shooting was not random, but details on a motive have not been released. The suspect in this case was booked on 11 different counts related to three different cases. Charges include aggravated battery and felon in possession of a gun. State records show this suspect had been in prison for aggravated robbery and was released in June of this year.
