The bridge at I-135 and 77th North was hit by an oversized load in July and is about to be repaired.
Work starts Thursday, the 26th. 77th will close over the highway daily from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., while northbound 135 will be closed at 77th from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. These closures are expected to run for about nine days.
During the daily closures, northbound drivers will be diverted off the highway at 77th, and can then use the on-ramp at 77th to continue north. Traffic on 77th will not be able to cross the bridge, but the ramp to southbound 135 will stay open. Drivers on 77th will not have access to the northbound I-135 ramp.
This repair work is being done by Flame-On Inc. of Monroe, Washington. They’ll be working to straighten a bent steel beam and make other repairs. Work is expected to wrap up on or before September 3.
