A32-year-old man should be OK after being shot in downtown Wichita, Monday night.
Police report shots were fired during a fight between two men, near Central and Emporia. Officers were called to the area around 9:40 p.m., and found evidence of a shooting, but nobody in the area. The victim showed up a hospital later and was treated for a non life-threatening injury.
Another shooting was reported around 5 a.m. Tuesday, in roughly the same area, at Emporia and Pine. A man in his 30’s was taken to a hospital with a gunshot to his torso.
It is not clear if these cases are related or not.
No details on a shooting suspect have been released at the moment. Anyone who knows more about these cases is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
