A Wichita teenager died after a shooting early Wednesday morning. The shooting was reported near Countryside and Old Manor around 3:30 a.m. That’s in a neighborhood southeast of the intersection of Harry and Oliver.
Family members identified the victim to our news partners at KWCH. 17-year-old Kahleb Engram was sitting in a car when a number of shots were fired. Residents in the area reported hearing 15 shots. Engram was hit several times. A second person in the car was not hurt.
Police officials have not commented on a suspect or motive for this shooting, but they did say the person in the car was targeted.
