This year’s edition of the National Baseball Congress World Series will be played in Hutchinson and Wichita in August.
The announcement was made Monday by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission and the Wichita Wind Surge baseball team.
The first five days of the tournament will be played August 4th through the 8th at Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson. The final six days will be played at Wichita’s Riverfront Stadium.
The NBC World Series was created in 1935 by local sporting goods salesman Raymond “Hap” Dumont. This year will mark the 87th anniversary for the tournament.
Pre-sale for Wind Surge ticket holders will begin Friday, May 28th at 10 a.m. and they will have until Sunday, June 6th to reserve and purchase NBC World Series tickets for reserved seats and suites. Tickets go on sale to the public for both locations on Tuesday, June 8th and 10 a.m. and can be purchased at www.nbcbaseball.com
