One person was fatally shot and another person is hurt after an incident Sunday evening in west Wichita.
Wichita police were called to an apartment complex near 13th and West, close to 7 p.m. Sunday. Investigators say five people were in an apartment when three armed people broke in and fired multiple shots. 17-year-old Eric Stokes was hit and died at the scene. Another 17-year-old was hit, and has been treated for minor injuries.
The suspects left after the shooting and have not been found so far. No descriptions have been provided. Police say this shooting was not random and was tied to drug activity.
