The Robert J. Dole VA and Newman University are working vaccinate more than 1,000 veterans against COVID on Saturday.
Veterans of any age enrolled for VA healthcare can call 316-469-0914 to make an appointment. The VA is also working to contact people who are eligible for the shots. Vaccinations will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 20th. Starting at 2 p.m. that day, walk-ins will be accepted without an appointment.
Shots are being given at the Dugan Gorges Conference Center at Newman University, at 3100 McCormick St in Wichita.
Veterans who are not enrolled with the VA can call 316-685-2221, extension 53132, to check their eligibility and enroll.
