Investigators are looking into the cause of a south Wichita house fire that sent an unidentified man to the hospital with serious burns.
The fire was reported around 6:20 Sunday evening in the 3200 block of South Gordon, in a neighborhood west of the intersection of 31st Street South and Meridian.
Crews found a man injured on the front porch and flames were coming from the home. The man was taken to the burn unit at Ascension Via Christi Medical Center. A second person from the home was able to escape unhurt.
The fire was brought under control within half an hour.
