  • Gov. Kelly Announces Affordable Care Act Marketplace Re-Opened For Kansans To Enroll In Health Insurance Plans

Governor Kelly announced earlier in the week that enrollment for 2021 health insurance has re-opened.

Kansas residents now have access to a Special Enrollment Period to sign up for Affordable Care Act insurance plans between February 15 and May 15th 2021; as well as Medicare and Medicaid benefits.

The Special Enrollment Period was opened by an executive order signed by President Biden in January, which opened the federal health insurance marketplace to be opened for three months.

Kelly said this is a great opportunity for Kansan who either uninsured or uninsured to obtain coverage as the pandemic continues.

Many Kansans may also be eligible for subsidized coverage through KanCare, Medicare, and Kansas’ Medicaid programs.

All U.S. Citizens and Nationals can enroll through Marketplaces using the Healthcare.gov platform.
