Most drive-thru COVID testing sites closed again

Most drive-thru COVID testing sites closed again

With temperatures staying below freezing all day, most of the drive-thru COVID testing sites in Wichita are closed again today.

WellHealth’s site at the WSU Metroplex is still listed as open, but the other sites are closed. The WellHealth sites in Hutchinson are also closed for the day. The Newton site is still listed as open. With warmer weather on Thursday, all the drive-thru sites are expected to reopen.

If you need a COVID test in Wichita, you can still use the County’s walk-in clinic at the 4-H building, at 21st and Ridge. These are free and no appointments are needed. Your doctor may be able to test you for COVID, though these may not be free in every case. There are other clinics set up across the city to test for COVID. Get the full list below.
