A winter storm is bringing snow to southwest and south central Kansas, along with areas of western and northern Oklahoma.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Sedgwick, Kingman, Pratt, Harper, Sumner, Cowley and Chautauqua counties from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Kiowa, Barber and Comanche counties in south central Kansas and the warning area extends into southwest Kansas to the Dodge City and Garden City areas. The warning also extends south into northwest and north central Oklahoma, and it’s in effect through 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Wichita area could get 1 to 2 inches of snow, with higher amounts to the south and west. The worst driving conditions are expected to be from Liberal to Pratt.
