UPDATE: Wichita police said Tuesday they found the body of a man who was reported missing almost a week earlier.
The body of 29-year-old Jeremy Cook was found Monday inside his 2006 Jeep Cherokee. Police put out information on the vehicle and someone reported finding it at Bayley and Armour, in a neighborhood southwest of the intersection of Lincoln and Rock Road.
Police said Cook’s body was found inside the vehicle, and he had a gunshot wound.
Detectives are still conducting interviews, and anyone with information is urged to contact the homicide section or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.

Police are asking for help from the public in finding a Wichita man who has been missing for several days.
Officers were called to a home in the 800 block of North Belmont on November 19th and they talked with family members of 29-year-old Jeremy Cook. They said they were not able to contact him and he was last seen on the 18th around 6 a.m. He may be traveling in a white, 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a broken out sunroof and tape around the passenger side tail light.
Cook is 5 feet 9 inches tall and 185 pounds, with blond hair, blue eyes, and glasses. He was last seen wearing a blue Nike t-shirt, blue jeans and brown Nike tennis shoes. Police believe that Cook may be in danger.
Anyone with information on Cook or the white Jeep is urged to call 911 immediately.
