Convicted sex offender charged with new crimes in Wichita

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says a convicted sex offender who lives in Wichita has been indicted on new sex crimes.

35-year-old Bryan Anthony Hale is accused of sexually exploiting a minor.  He is charged with one count of producing child pornography, one count of committing a crime involving a minor while registered as a sex offender, one count of providing child pornography to a minor and one count of possessing child pornography.   The crimes are alleged to have taken place in September and October in Sedgwick County.

Hale was convicted in 2016 of a sex act involving a six-year-old victim in Sedgwick County, and he is registered on the Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website.  If he is convicted on the new charges, he faces penalties of 10 to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 on each count.
