Students at Andover and Andover Central middle schools will go back to a hybrid classroom model starting November 9.
The Andover Board of Education made the decision based on rising COVID cases, including some cases among students and staff. Students will go back to the schedules they used at the beginning of the semester and will stay on this schedule at least until December 4.
School officials recognize the hybrid method creates challenges for some, but their main focus is reducing COVID-19 transmission within the community.
