Sedgwick County health officials say a new cluster of coronavirus cases has been identified at a care facility in south Wichita.

Ultra Care Home Plus at 2355 South Bedford has had seven cases, involving five residents and two staff members.   The staff members and four residents have recovered and they are free of symptoms.  One resident has died, and officials said that resident had a pre-existing health condition.

A spokesperson for Ultra Care, Tolulpe Kadiri, said in a press release that the facility has been testing to find anyone with the virus who may not have symptoms, and the staff continues to follow all precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.   Kadiri said the resident who died was already in hospice care before being diagnosed with the virus.
