Governor Kelly announcing today that on Friday, October 2nd, the Kansas Department of Labor will begin accepting self-certification and issuing payments to eligible unemployed residents under the federal Lost Wages Assistance Program.
Unemployed citizens must certify that their unemployment (or partial unemployment) was dude to disruptions caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The program will provide an additional $300 in addition to their regular unemployment benefits.
You can self-certify by logging into your account at www.getkansasbenefits.gov, or by calling one of the numbers listed on the website.
