Kansas adds over 1,600 new cases of COVID-19, Sedgwick County increases by 41

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is reporting an additional 1,674 cases of COVID-19 from the weekend, bringing the state’s total to 53,959 cases since the pandemic began.  The state has added four more deaths to bring the total count to 600.

The percentage of positive tests is now at 6.9 percent.

Sedgwick County is reporting a total of 8,066 cases for the pandemic, an increase of 41 cases from Sunday.  One new death has been added to bring the total to 82.   The county has tested 97,191 people, and the percentage of positive tests has jumped to 7.8 percent after dropping to 4.9 percent over the weekend.
