The Wichita Police Department is launching a new program that allows residents to clear traffic citation warrants from their records.

“Second Chance Thursday” will take place Thursday, September 17th from 9am to 4pm at the WPD Patrol West Office at 5803 West Central Ave.

This applies only to city-issued traffic citation warrants, and does not apply to instances of driving while under the influence.

Upon meeting at the Patrol West Office, officers will verify the warrant, clear it, and you will then sign an appearance form and be provided with a court date for the alleged charges.

If you cannot make it on the 17th, you can email Officer Lori Kimrey at lkimrey@wichita.gov to reschedule.

You can see if you may have any active traffic warrants by clicking this link: https://online.wichita.gov/CourtDataServices/CourtWarrantSearch.aspx
