Police are investigating a burglary and a sexual assault that happened at a south Wichita home early Saturday.
A 32-year-old woman reported that an armed man broke into her home and demanded money. He sexually assaulted her and then left. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police said two small children were in the home at the time, but they were not hurt. Officers were called to a location on South Pershing around 12 a.m. Saturday on a report of a burglary in progress.
