Harvey County health officials have identified a new cluster of COVID-19 cases on the Hesston College campus.
The cluster has five confirmed cases, with 17 people who have been tested, and two tests are still awaiting results.
The five people who tested positive have self-isolated off campus. Hesston College officials will be monitoring those cases and they will work to identify and quarantine all close contacts.
Hesston College president Joe Manickam said in a press release that students, faculty and staff have done a good job planning for and adapting to the challenges of reopening during the pandemic. He said the college has a COVID response team that is working with health officials on a program of contact tracing.
