In an effort to promote contactless grocery pickup, Kansans can now use SNAP cards to order groceries online, without having to swipe their card at pickup.
This is only available through Walmart and Amazon at the moment, but other retailers are expected to join if this program is successful.
While the food benefit cards work to complete orders online, they cannot be used to cover delivery costs. The Kansas Department for Children and Families provided some guideline and a Q&A sheet to help people use the new service. Links to that information can be found below.
