Spirit Aerosystems has laid off 450 commercial program employees.
They said the decision is a direct result of the continued stall of the Boeing 737 MAX program due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Production rates for the MAX program dropped from 125 to 72 units this year, which is down 80% from 2019’s rate.
