A 40-year-old Wichita man is in jail for attempted murder.
Police say this stems from a shooting on July 1, from the area of 21st and Amidon. A 36-year-old man was reportedly shot during an argument over money and drugs. The victim’s injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening. Police say the victim and suspect know each other.
Investigators were able to identify the suspect, and he was found and arrested July 22, near 9th and Main.
According to police, the suspect has prior felony convictions and was not allowed to own a firearm.
