Sedgwick County health officials have confirmed a COVID-19 cluster of less than five people at a senior care facility in Wichita.
The cluster was confirmed with residents and staff at the New Life Home Plus facility at 1214 North Charlotte. Two residents have died. All staff and residents have been tested, and out of more than 10 employees only one was positive. That person did not have symptoms and is now in self-isolation.
New Life administrator Arnot Munguya said in a press release that the facility is following guidelines from the state and the Centers for Disease Control. The Sedgwick County health department is working with New Life to monitor and protect residents and staff from the virus.
