Winfield fire and rescue crews recovered a body from the Walnut River in Cowley County.
The body was discovered by a fisherman early Saturday afternoon near the Tunnel Mill Dam in Winfield. Crews recovered the body near the 20,000 block of 95th Road, south of Winfield.
The body is an unidentified man, and it’s believed to be a 19-year-old man who was reported missing in the Walnut River several weeks ago, but there has been no confirmation of the man’s identity.
