Suspects sought in east Wichita shooting

Wichita Police hope you can identify two men involved in a shooting outside of an east Wichita apartment complex Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Fox Run Apartment complex.  Police say a 17-year-old and 18-year-old man agreed to meet two men in the parking lot, but the exact details of that meeting have not been released.

One suspect arrived in a white newer model Mustang while the other arrived in a grey Buick.  The two teens got into the Buick, where an argument broke out inside.

That’s when the driver of the Mustang got out and fired several shots, striking the teens.  The 17-year-old was transported to the hospital by EMS in critical condition.

The 18-year-old showed up at the hospital by private vehicle where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.  Police are hoping the public can identify the two suspects involved in the shooting, which they say was not a random incident.

Anyone with information about the shooting, or who knows the identity of the men are asked to contact detectives at 268-4407, or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
