Wichita mayor Brandon Whipple has created a Small Business Advisory Council to look at the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on local businesses.
Whipple said there are ten people on the committee and they will be meeting at least twice a month. He says they can provide ideas that can lead to a network response or a local government response to meet the needs of local businesses during the recovery from the pandemic.
The committee will serve a three-month term, and then the mayor plans to appoint a new committee. He says changing the advisory group every three months will allow for a wide range of feedback from the community.
