5,245 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Kansas, 136 deaths

The latest figures from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment show there are now 5,245 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Kansas.

There have been 136 deaths from the virus in Kansas since the outbreak began.  Figures from Sedgwick County show 426 confirmed cases in the county.

Of those cases, there have been 13 deaths and 235 people have made a full recovery.  The number of cases in western Kansas continue to grow as more and more testing is completed.

In Ford County, there are 832 confirmed cases, in Seward, there are 580, and there are 498 confirmed cases in Finney County.  Those counties are where much of the state’s meatpacking plants are located.

Wyandotte County still has the most reported cases in Kansas with 879.  Johnson has 504, while Leavenworth has 529.
