Sedgwick County is reporting 316 cases of coronavirus with six deaths, and a third death has been reported at a Clearwater nursing facility.
Officials with the Clearwater Nursing and Rehabilitation Center report a total of 52 cases, 43 residents and 9 staff members. Seven residents were hospitalized but they are being returned to the center.
Officials say all residents have been tested for the COVID-19 virus, but not all test results have been returned.
Sedgwick County has reported 144 people who have recovered from the virus. The county is still urging people with two or more symptoms to call the United Way 211 information line to begin an initial screening for testing.
County commissioners are planning a telephone conference call Friday with business leaders from the community to talk about a plan to reopen the economy when the stay-at-home orders are lifted.
