1,986 confirmed Covid-19 cases in Kansas, 100 deaths reported

There are now 1,986 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Kansas, according to the latest figures from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

That’s 137 new confirmed cases since Sunday.  100 deaths have been reported statewide from the virus.

Sedgwick County has 14 new confirmed cases since Sunday, bringing the total to 248.  Butler County reports 12, Cowley County 1, Harvey County 5, Reno County 12, and Sumner County 3.

Kingman and Harper Counties are not reporting any confirmed cases.  Johnson County has 377 and Wyandottee and 427, with both counties having the highest numbers in the state.

405 people have been hospitalized by the virus.  Those patients range in age from an infant to 99 years old.

20.3% of the patients are in the 20-34 age group, making up the majority of the cases.  18.2% are in the 55-64 age group.
