Spirit Aerosystems plans to bring back some workers

Some workers at Spirit Aerosystems will be going back to work after being furloughed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Spirit officials said Thursday that as Boeing resumes production on commercial aircraft, Spirit will work with its employees, customers and suppliers on a phased-in return to work.

The company said it will provide more information to employees as details become available.

Spirit recently announced a 21-day furlough and four-day workweeks for managers and hourly employees in Wichita and San Antonio who have been involved with Boeing work.  Boeing had extended its shutdown in Washington state because of the coronavirus situation.
