1,426 Covid-19 cases in Kansas, 69 deaths reported

The latest figures from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment show 1,426 cases of Covid-19 in the state.

That is an increase of just 50 since Monday.  There are 7 additional deaths, bringing the total to 69 in Kansas.

In Sedgwick County there are now 205 cases, an increase of 5 since Monday.  Reno County has 14 cases, Harvey County 5, Butler County is now reporting 9, Sumner County had just one reported case that turned fatal, while Sumner County is still reporting just two confirmed cases.

Johnson and Wyandotte County remain the hardest hit, with Johnson at 323 cases, and Wyandotte at 345.  Of the over 14,000 tests conducted, over 12,000 have been negative.

772 of the patients are female, while 648 are male.  6 cases did not report a specific gender.

Patients range in age from infancy to 95 years old.  The latest figures give hope that the virus may be slowing down in Kansas.
