The latest figures from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment show there are now 1,106 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Kansas.

42 people have now died from the respiratory virus in Kansas.  In Sedgwick County, there are 161 cases, an increase of just 7 from the totals that were released by the state late Wednesday afternoon.

The number of cases are expected to increase as the state, local health departments and clinics ramp up testing.  Cowley County reported that their single patient diagnosed with Covid-19 died at a Wichita hospital.

Wyandotte currently has 272 confirmed cases, while Johnson has 252.  Both counties have been hardest hit by the virus.

263 of the confirmed cases in Kansas have led to hospitalizations.  The state has incomplete data on the number of those who have recovered from the virus.
