Wichita police have a 26-year-old man in custody for a series of burglaries on the city’s east side.
The burglaries were reported during the early morning hours on April 2nd. Items were taken from homes in the 9000 block of East Shannon Woods Court, the 10,000 block of East 19th Street North and the 10,000 block of East Windemere Court. An SUV was taken from an attached garage at the home on 19th Street, and it was recovered later in the day in the 3000 block of West Douglas.
Police caught up with the suspect the next day and arrested him after a short chase on foot near Richmond and Douglas.
