The latest figures from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment show there are now 482 cases of Covid-19 in Kansas.

One new death has been reported, a 90-year-old woman in Coffey County.  The total number of deaths in Kansas from Covid-19 is now 10.

Johnson and Wyandotte Counties remain the hardest hit.  Johnson currently has 143, while Wyandotte has 93.

Sedgwick County has increased by 5 since Tuesday, with 64 cases now reported, according to the KDHE.   Coiunty health officials have confirmed that there is community spread of the disease, meaning that it is spreading from person to person.  They’re urging people to limit public gatherings to ten or fewer people, staying home when possible and covering all coughs and sneezes.  People are also urged to wash their hands for 15 to 20 seconds with soap and water.

Of all cases in the state, 114 have required hospitalization.

242 cases are in women, while 240 are in men.  The patients have ranged in age from infancy to 95 years old.
