Mayor, city council members no longer need to self-quarantine

Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple, and cit council members Brandon Johnson, Becky Tuttle and James Clendenin are no longer under self-quarantine.

The four had previously been in Washington, D.C. attending the National League of Cities conference.  Two people who attended the conference later tested positive for Covid-19.

The mayor and council members self-quarantined as a precaution because they may have come into contact with the two who contracted the virus.  However, the city says the Disease Investigator’s office at the Sedgwick County Health Department determined that the council members no longer need self-quarantine.
