Arkansas City Police say a 62-year-old man has died after he was struck by a train.
Police were called to the railroad tracks on South D Street between East Taylor and East Fillmore Avenue just after 12 a.m. Thursday. They found the man laying on the tracks and unresponsive.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe he was struck by a train, but they are still investigating his death.
The man’s name is being withheld until his family has been notified.
