The Rock and Roll Hall of fame just announced their nominees on the ballot for next year’s induction, and it seems like they have have been listening to us.

This year, Judas Priest (who were nominated in 2018), are back on the docket, alongside Nine Inch Nails, who were nominated in 2015 and 2016, MC5, who has a number of nominations, Todd Rundgren, and first-timers Soundgarden and Motorhead.

Other groups on the ballot include Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, and Rufus feat. Chaka Khan (who have all received nods before), and newcomers Dave Matthews Band, The Doobie Brothers, the Notorious B.I.G., Pat Benatar, T-Rex, Thin Lizzy, and Whitney Houston.

But back to those first guys… ya know, the rock bands…. Seriously, it seems like the Rock Hall heard us, and have finally invited some heavier acts into the mix. And that’s HUGE news for rock music. Hopefully, the final list of inductees also reflects this, and we see some actual, REAL rock bands put into the Hall.

The fan ballot is up now on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s website. You can vote for your favorite acts HERE.
