Reconstruction of the intersection of Mt. Vernon and Hillside is getting underway.
The project will add left turn lanes in all directions, drainage and water main improvements, as well as new pedestrian crossing enhancements and traffic signals. The intersection is closed during construction with traffic being diverted to George Washington Boulevard, Harry, and Hydraulic until it is completed.
The $2.2 million project is expected to be completed in Spring of next year.
